Faithfullness, God's not mine.

I have been meaning to blog for a while, so here it finally is. haha
It is Wednesday, and here on project it is our night with the Lord. I am lucky that this night has been built into our Project. Yet, even with this luxery I spent most of my night meandering, (eating dinner, walking to Starbucks, then procrastination before I wrote this blog). I however did get the change to sit down with the other peeps from ECU and pray for our campus (a thing that we will be doing the rest of the summer).
Anyway, back to my point; my little bit of time that I give God and my small amount of faithfullness I trust in Him. Yet, my gracious and lovig God has still managed to hold onto me and teach me more aout Him regardless of my desire to learn. haha I am learning that I do not neccesarily have to strive to have a stronger relationshio with God, and work at "getting closer" to Him, but let go of my plans in what I want to learn and be open to what He is teaching me, and allow Him to grow me as He choses. This I think is the best plan. :)
I love God's faithfullness. In reading the book God's Big Picture before project, I really saw this exemplified. This books points out and walks us through how throughout the Bible and Jesus's teaching God is faithful to Isreal and the promise that He made to Abraham even when and regardless of Isreal's constant turning from God. AND, God had planned this all out before the world even began! Isn't that amazing?!
As I begin to see this in my own life, I am learning to trust in God and his plan for me. Of course we have all heard, Jeremiah 29:1111 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." No matter how cliche this may sound it still rings true.
All one of my favorites is Deuternomy 31:8 " 8The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

So, as many of you have been so eagerly awaiting, here is my blog from Chicago.
First off I would like to apologize for taking so long to get this up and going.
There will be more to come, but here is just a short update for those of you who would like to know.
I arrived on project on Friday morning, and since then I have been busy! My first couple of days were a little rough as I was sick and my ears and nose were completely stopped up. Luckily a few of  my fellow project guys had NyQuil and DayQuil. I was soo happy after a day and a half of trying to survive on a 24 hour Sudifed. Plus, some good sleep Sunday night really felt good! :)
On the Project/Loft front everybody is getting to know each other and really enjoying the lofts. We have had a few meetings and a few dinners together. Last night we had our first Worship meeting and Lesson. As well as our Impact group meeting (Our Bible Studies which will meet on Mondays)
On the job front, God has blessed me with a great opportunity to work at a Chick-fil-A here in Chicago! :) Many others are still job searching yesterday, today, and until they get a job, so keep them in our prayers. The Chick-fil-A crew (Sydney Hinckle, Logan Jones, Ryne Teem, Cody Woodall, and Sam Furl, and me) all had our training yesterday (which was surprisingly short and not very in depth, they are a new store that has been open for almost a year and does not have a full scale training program up yet) Luckily Sydney and I both have experience working at a Chick-fil-A in the past. Which brings be to today! I worked nice and early from 6:30 am-2:00pm. Ryne came in a trained with me, and Sydney got there later at 10:30am. The others will be in later this week.
So that is what my week will consist of, work throughout most of the day, and few hours of relaxing at the loft, and meetings with wonderful people here at Chicago and learning more about God and Hid great gospel in the evenings. On Thursday I will get the chance to go out on to a college campus though and meet and talk with students there. I am in the group assigned to the University of Chicago!

Alright, so this is it for now, but much more to come. This is a quick overview of all that is going on here in project, but I will hopefully be posting more about all that I will be learning as God continually teaches me more about Himself and the Gospel this coming summer.

I love you all and God Bless.
